2017 Oklahoma Senior Games (Under Construction!)

The Oklahoma City Table Tennis Club will be hosting the 2017 Oklahoma Senior Game!

If you are going to Celebration of Athletes at Devon Boathouse on Friday, September 15 in the OKC Boathouse District.  You must register on or before midnight September 10.  The dinner-dance is free.  Guests pay $25.


  • Saturday, October 7, 2017  (entry deadline is Saturday, September 23, 2017)
  • Check-In starts at 8:00am, tournament starts at 9:00am.

Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles

Entry Regulations:

  1. Players must provide their own paddle.  Balls will be provided.
  2. Athletes may compete with only one partner per event.
  3. For this event, players who are ages 40 or over as of December 31, 2017 may participate.  They do not, however, qualify to play in the National Senior Games Championship.
  4. The age division of competition for Doubles will be determined by the younger player’s age.  Doubles partners must be of the same gender (except Mixed!).


  1. For singles competition, a round robin (RR) format will be utilized.  For Divisions with 6 players or fewer will be run as a single RR group.  Divisions with 7 or more players will be broken down into multiple RR groups with the winner of each group advancing to a single elimination (SE) final.
  2. The same RR format will be used for doubles and mixed doubles – same procedure as singles.
  3. Play shall consist of  best 3 out of 5 game matches.  Each game will be to 11 points with serves alternating every 2 points.
  4. The first player to score 11 points wins a game, but players must win by 2.  If both players get to deuce (10 points apiece), the serve will change each point.
  5. Play shall be continuous throughout the match with a two-minute break between games.
  6. The Tournament Director reserves the right to change/modify the format of any event.

Sport Rules

  1. The main color (or even a very large patch) of  shirts, skirt, or shorts shall not be white (white balls will be used).
  2. All matches will be conducted in accordance with USA Table Tennis (USATT) rules except as modified herein.  USATT Rules are available on their web site.

National Senior Games Qualifying Rules

  1. This tournament is not a qualifier for the 2019 National Senior Games (Albuquerque, NM).
  2. All first through fourth place finishers at the 2018 Oklahoma Senior Games will qualify for the 2019 National Senior Games in Albuquerque, NM.
  3. Athletes must qualify in each table tennis event (singles, doubles, and/or mixed doubles) in which they wish to compete (in National Games).
